Applause for New Arrangements
During a recent visit to the Sydney presentation of National Manufacturing Week and Austech 2010 there was strong support for the new arrangements for 2011 which will see these two major shows join with Ausplas in Melbourne in May 2011.
“During my walk around I spoke with exhibitors in all sectors - especially those participating in Austech who also had interests in the plastics industry, and the support for the co-location was strong and unanimous. All could see the synergies between visitors and the extra attraction that National Manufacturing Week represents in the new business areas.
Quite a few companies are now considering expanding their traditional spaces to accommodate the wider interests of visitors and others are looking at separate sites in the shows to cover off their full ranges of representation” commented Ausplas director John Kelly.
“Of equal importance is that the new partnerships have reignited interest from several major Australian agents representing European and Asian machinery suppliers who have indicated that they will return in 2011with significant presentations and new technologies for their Ausplas exhibits.
The fact that Ausplas 2011 falls soon after Chinaplas enhances the opportunity for technical experts from overseas to make Ausplas a part of their round trips from Europe, Asia and the USA. They will provide expertise to visitors on the show floor and participate in the seminars which will be held alongside the trade show by the Society of Plastic Engineers ANZ” added Kelly.
